December 2000 – January 2002
After graduating from The John Marshall Law School, my first entry-level position was as an associate attorney for Joseph Taylor, Jr. and Associates. As in-house counsel for American Service Insurance Company, my responsibilities included defending hundreds of personal injury and property damage claims filed in the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. During that time I gained valuable jury trial experience. Geographically, I was responsible for overseeing cases at the Richard J. Daley Center, Skokie, Rolling Meadows, Maywood, Bridgeview, Markham, Cook, Lake, DuPage, McHenry, Kane, Winnebago Counties in Illinois.
